Hi everyone. I’ve been busy doing my 3rd NaNoWriMo. It has been awesome so far. The third time around, I’m totally in the groove of writing. I’m more organized. More disciplined.
I’m writing about 3000 words/day with consistency.
I wake up at 3:30AM every morning to write before me kids get up. I do this every day, even on weekends. Once upon a time I just floundered, desperate to find time. Now I take charge. That has come with experience, with just doing it.
It’s true what they say. Just keep trying. It can only get better.
Today I had some challenges. My son woke up at 3:30 and wouldn’t go to sleep. I was starting to panic as I watched the clock, watching my opportunity to write slip away. But with experience, you figure out how to make it up. How to be flexible. How to recover in any situation. So I keep moving forward.
I’m planning to finish at least 85,000 words of a novel in the month of November. I’ll take a month off (not really, I’ll be revising and outlining and brainstorming), and then I’m going to pump another novel out in a month. I’m on a roll. Seriously. It feels awesome.
How is everyone else doing with Nano month?
