Dear Self,
After a busy election season and a smashing victory, the culmination of so many hard hours, and the fruit of those last moments when you felt like you couldn’t exert one more bit of energy but you did anyway, pushing yourself–now it’s time to focus on your other passion. Writing. We are on day 6 of the Nanowrimo competition. You’ve got some catching up to do, but you managed to keep your head somewhere just below the surface so that you aren’t completely drowning. Keep pressing on. Even when you feel like you can’t do anything more, push yourself to do a little bit more and see how much that effort adds up. Now it’s time to put yourself first.
